You receive an error when you run the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891717/
0x8050800C The system state prohibits the scan from running in a specific user context.
Restart the computer and retry the scan.

It downloads, it runs, it goes away if nothing's found.
Has anyone tried running the full scan rather than the quick scan? On W2K/Sp4, I get error 8050800C on full scan. There are also various PID errors in the log. This only has started since Feb '07 release.
