Can anyone confirm whether this screen shot is evidence of network access:

More precisely, the complainant (who repeats the claim on a near daily basis on a socially-oriented ng) asserts:

"My computer is not connected to the Internet and I don not have a
phone - but when I use the System Monitor Tool, I find Terminal
Services is running and it is showing network traffic - what my
tormentors have done, it to use a wireless connection to bug my
computer"

Thanks, Rob

The image shows nothing useful but it doesn't matter. You are not dealing with a situation that can be handled logically and rationally.

You can ask if the complainant's computer has a wireless network card. If it does, they can simply disable it from Device Manager or, if this is a laptop, use the switch or keypress to turn it off. If their computer does not have a wireless network card, then there is no way anyone can use a wireless connection to access the computer.

However, my experience with these sorts of people is that an answer like the above will not suffice.

Tell the complainant to have a local professional come on-site or take the machine to him/her to have it checked out. This will not be a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place. Frankly, there is no way you can deal with these sorts of complainants in a newsgroup or forum. You need to tell them firmly to do what I suggested above and then don't respond about this subject further. There's no need to be rude to them, but you must be adamant that the problems the person is experiencing are not something that can be dealt with by people who can't see their computer. And then don't engage on this subject with that person ever again. Be strong.
