It must be how you've got your newsreader set up because PA Bear's reply
works perfectly here (Thunderbird).
I think you're missing the point. PA Bear's reply had quoted text below his
..sig. Any RFC compliant news reader will delete any text that follows the
..sig delimiter, which is "-- ". Having one's .sig above quoted text will
cause all of that to be dropped. This is a continuing problem with OE in
particular. Those using OE should make sure that their .sig is appended to
the bottom of their replies.
