Hi all,All policies with Network client and network server prefix are about SMB
in my laboratory network I wanted to test the different level of
authentications by selecting the proper option in the GPO setting in the
"Network security: LAN Manager authentication level" (under computer --->
windows settings --->
-- > security settings --> local policies ---> security options) but after
reading the explanation I 'm still a little bit puzzled about the correct
interpretion of the terminology (by the way I am not english-mother )
In short, all the descriptions I've found mention CLIENT and DOMAIN
CONTROLLERS, so my question is:
1) Does this setting comprise ONLY those newtork connections with
non-kerberos authentication between clients (stand-alone or member) and DC's?
2) and if so, how can connections between workstations and non-DC's be
affected?
Thanking in advance for your reply and I 'll be at your disposal for any
clarification on the about issue.

protocol security. All policies with Domain memeber and Domain
controller prefix are about LDAP protocol security.
