Yes, one may catch what another may miss. That's why I have suggested Ad-aware SE, SpyBot
S&D and SuperAntiSpyware. They will tend to catch the non-viral malware. I also uncluded
the Multi AV Scanning Tool which targets more of the viral malware. There is some overlap
of scanning between the products for viural and non-viral malware.

It is time consuming but hopefully it will cure your problem.
