My internet setting:

OS: XP Media Center Edition
Router: Linksys WRT54G v. 5
There are unknown internet connectivities for my computer. I did not run
any program that needs internet, but somehow my internet activity has hown
that my computer keeps on sending and receiving bandwidth. The problem still
exists even I go into the safe mode with network. Then I discover that the
microsoft's standard firewall was not on, so I turn it on. However the
firewall can solve only half of my problem, my computer did not send out any
unknown signal, but my computer still continuously receiving.
I checked every program I am using on this computer and I didn't find any
unknown program.
I deleted all cookies, temperary files and history, but the problem still
exists.
I used Ewido anti-spyware, Ad-aware SE, hijackthis, and norton anti-virus
programs to scan my whole computer, however, my computer still receiving
unknown connectivities(even in safe mode).
I checked my startup, all are microsoft item, except adobe, ati, and office.
I checked my TCP and UCP, Browser plugins, processes, but no unknown program
that is running.
When I turned off my modem(3), the local connection indicator stops
receiving. It has shown that my router is not the one keeps on sending
unknown packets. That signal was came from internet.
So, any suggestions? How do I find out what makes my computer continiously
receiving unknown bandwidth? OR How do I find out who keeps on sending stuff
to me?
Thank you very much for reading this and advices
It could be Windows Update ... Have you tried disabling the Automatic
updates . Disable from Control Panel -> Automatic updates
Check for malware using this scanner

Although you have used these scanners , none of them is capable of detecting
rootkits -> hidden malware . Check for rootkits with Gmer http://www.gmer.net
Report back after scanning and disabling the Auto Updates
