Why? Opening more ports or the resources is not reliable?

P2P can be like going to the bad part of town to purchase 'real'
watches. You might *think* you are getting one thing - but
actually getting something totally different...
Or there might be some unseen consequences to getting things from
said location.
To be honest - these days - surfing the Internet at all is like
going to the bad part of town.
Just having a P2P application doesn't do much.
What you do/get with it and what you might have to open up to
utilize it to its 'full potential' is what really may be harmful.

Thanks, Stanley. I've waiting so long for answers. But I can not
understand fully for your sort of abstract description. you described a
general ideaabout P2P/surfing the internet. Besides, what caused P2P
insecure?
the information/files they share?
Human beings cause P2P to be insecure.
Just like the rest of the Internet.
First - in order to share the files - yes - you have to open ports.
That would be equivalent to leaving a window open in your home.
Second - you have no idea what you are actually downloading. It may say
'recipes for soup' when you found it and clicked on it and started
downloading it - but the reality is - until you get it on your computer and
open it - you have no idea - and at the moment you open it - it may be too
late. So human deception comes into play as well as lack of common
sense/ability on the part of the receiving end (technically - the receiving
end should not be running this on any type of important system to them -
should not be a production system - since they have no idea what they might
get into.)
Mostly - P2P has become associated with sharing music, movie and full
application files - and some of the music/movie/software businesses don't
like this so they have began their own forms of deception as well as the
legal implications to fight this. They'll deny the former and say the
latter is their right - and they may be truthful on both parts - who
knows/cares?
Like many other things - P2P used the right way is a good thing - P2P used
the wrong way is a bad thing.
