Re: starting computer after I have been away

When my computer automatically turns itself off - like when I have

out what the password is so I can either change it or correct it?

Just change the password to something you will remember. Log into an
account with administrative privileges and do:

Start>Run>control userpasswords2 [enter]

You will see where you can change the Administrator's password there.
