Hello:

TRhanks for the info, however, i would like to keep McAfee for my virus
protection. I was hoping to find a way to make it work like it did before
the upgrade to Version 11.

No problem MSM , as you like it . Performing the instructions I gave you
will only help , they can't make you not to use McAfee. Let me make them
clearer:

Hello ! The first thing to do is to uninstall McAfee .
Open Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs and uninstall it . Reboot .

After rebooting again there check for tracks for McAfee Security Center .
Remove it also .

This is made to completely remove McAfee because your AV seems to be
corrupted and yes , you need to now remove the corrupted one to go on doing
maintanance.

Use the links / tools described here to completely remove your McAfee:
http://pandaman.my.contact.bg/remAV.txt

Here you can read two links which will point you to specific removal tool(s)
which McAfee has created for its products . They are used when someone has
problems and these tools helps you remove corrupted stuff .

After performing these two , you'll have removed completely McAfee and you
can try to install it again and paly with it but before that.......

Check your computer for malicious software using the new instructions here
http://pandaman.my.contact.bg
(Report back your results)

.. . . . . but before that you need to check your computer for malicious
software - viruses /spyware , another malware because your computer might be
compromised . McAfee is a popolar product and there are many viruses known to
kill AVs like McAfee and you need to be completely sure :)
Also , the link includes another link to my page where it is shown how to
repiar Windows is different ways

At the end , <when you are clean >and sure everything is OK, contact McAfee's TechSupport and ask for
help for your McAfee product

This is done because only McAfee can provide you the most accurate support
and answers because they should know better than us , they do only McAfee

or buy another security software

And this is suggested in case you get desperate and nothing and nobody helps
, and you can't use your computer with McAfee and you have no protection and
then there will be no other way except from getting another AV :)

Regards!!!
