White screen and corrupt programs and drivers

Hello. I am having severe problems with my computer. During the boot
process the screen turns pure white (notice i say white and not black) and
remains white after windows has successfully booted. You will probably ask
me how i can see the screen clearly if it is white. The answer is that if
the notebook screen is tilted at 30 degrees or less i can see (BARELY AND
NOT WITHOUT STRAINING MY EYES!!!) Anyway, that is only the beginning of my
problems! My graphics card driver and adobe software has gone corrupt and
closes after popping up an error message box. Message says "program has
encountered an internal error and will now close" or something similar.
Also, norton antivirus 2005 worm signatures are corrupt and do NOT get
repaired or updated! I have tried many times with liveupdate but with no
success. . I am suspecting some kind of virus or spyware infection that
corrupts my programs and goes undected by norton av2005 and other free
online scanners! By the way, my computer was working perfectly a few days
ago and it seems very strange that so many programs including my video card
driver STOP WORKING OVERNIGHT!!!! I have already contacted norton but i
would like additional information if anybody knows of any such virus or
spyware.
