| just had its original hard drive (with 4 years of son's digital pictures and
| movies) preserved by making it a slave drive to a new hard drive - booted
| with the original pre-SP1 XP OS. (Nothing updated on the new drive yet - and
| he picked up this "Winfixer" plague!) Now maybe I can install SP2!

I am glad I was able to assist you with my tools and information.
Now just make sure the ONLY version of Sun Java installed is v5 update 6 such as...
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06
Any older version(s) *must* be removed as there is a known association with getting the
Vundo Trojan and vulnerable versions of Sun Java.
