I fully disagree with the other two previous posts.
if you have essential information in your email ,you should take control of
it again (at least try to do this). After performing the instructions
below, inform your friends and colleagues you have a conversation with about
what happended to you because of the hacker.

I like your last suggestion. Something rarely mentioned.

1.Check your personal computer for all kind of threats.Nowadays there are
many trojans ,keyloggers or spyware that are very dangerous
.Trojan-keyloggers are the most dangerous in your case because if you have it
,it saves EVERY keystrock you do on your keyboard.

2.Make your PC more secure

3.Chane your password and security question and make them more secure

4.Report your problem to MSN.

< Follow all steps very carefully and systematically >

About 1)
Check your PC with:

I would use Stinger, Sysclean, CWShredder, Adaware, SpybotSD, HighhackThis,
RootKitRevealer. All updated first!

Then ,goto my web-page
http://pandaman.my.contact.bg
and perform the fast malware removal instructions to remove any malware.

About 2)

Microsoft (R)
suggests 3 + 1 general steps how to protect
your PC and the infomation stored on it,
your privacy and your family

1.Use an internet firewall
2.Enable Automatic Updates for your PC
3.Use an up-to-date antivirus software
4.Use an up-to-date antispyware software

Automatic updates are not reasonable on dial-up accounts but Windows does need
to be updated on a regular basis. At least once-a-week. AV/AS are basically the
same.

Goto http://www.microsoft.com/protect and learn more
Check the Security Essentials for your OS and also have a look at all
sections!

About 3)
Visit your Hotmail/MSN account
change your password .Make it stronger ! This means that you use numbers
,letters and at least one special character such as @ # - and so on...
Also ,change the question that you are asked when you forget your password.

< Do not use your birthday ,place of living ,you pet's name or any personal
and well-known info. Also never include stupid combination of letters or
numbers that you can easy forget >

About 4)
Goto:
https://accountservices.passport.net

and follow the instruction so you'll contact MSN and they will keep an eye
on your account. On that site there are also variety of other options that
you can use

Yes,by the way I keep on all my computers at home and at the office Windows
Update set to "Notify me but don't automatically download or install" .This
way I have more advanced control and when Windows informs me I visit Windows
Update web-site and just let WIndows be updated. This option is the most
appropriate ,I think for all kind of users.Automatic Updates are used by
users who really don't want to have a control ,they leave Windows Update
itself automatically ...I disagee that AV/AS are basically the same.Antivirus
softwares should be updated daily so users have protection against the newset
threats.Worms are going around the world for hours/minutes. :)
