Then don't enable file sharing or disable Simple Sharing and only add
user accounts to your computer for those people who are allowed to
access your computer. If you want to share some things but not others,
set your permissions accordingly, creating user groups. Users who are
not allowed to access those resources and/or who don't have accounts on
your system will have their authentication fail and be denied. AFAIK,
there is no way to have a popup appear on your computer to show when
someone on the lan accesses your computer unless you deny all file
sharing and have a third-party firewall.
