sound like your account has been hi-jacked. 1st thing first your gonna need
to get your account back and strengthen your password. then run a check on
your firewall
example if your running Norton's go to norton site and have norton check
your firewall. also run what ever anti-virus your using and last but not
least run a couple of ad/spyware programs. I recommend spybot, adaware SE,
and the new microsoft defender beta 2, and it also helps to have a pop up
blocker active.
to further my protection I also have trail cleaner active upon exiting
explorer and you can find it located .....open explorer if its your browser/
tools/internet options/advanced/scroll down to security setting and select
your preferences/ then ok and if necessary reboot. hope this helps.....if
theres somthing i forgot I'm sure one of the great people here will let us
both know. oh and how could i forget the program hi-jack this another good
program. however i dont use it as it clashes with the other programs listed
above.

Me and my wife have noticed in the last couple days that a pop up window is
coming up saying we are logged into a different location. We dont have any
other locations and now we have recieved confirmation on a password change
from microsoft which we did not do. Is someone or a virus trying to hack in
and get or have gotten inside our account?
What do we need to do?
"Trail Cleaner" is his phrasing for deleting your history and cookies
whenever you close Internet Explorer. However, there are third party
programs out that will do a more thorough job of this as well.
I would look for posts from Malke, Panda_man and David Lipman about
removing viruses and other malware. They each have some good steps to
follow, and programs that you can use. Also, by NO means, am I trying
to exclude anyone else that has programs (or steps) listed here. They
are the three that I notice the most.
Once you are reasonably sure that you've cleaned off any malware
(keyloggers, trojans, etc) I would change your password again. The
"PopUp" that you're getting is from MSN Messenger (or Windows Messenger)
telling you that someone else has logged in on your account.
HTH a little.
