thanks for the links - unfortunately the virus came out before the virus definitions were updated - that's why i was asking if using poledit and limiting the windows programs which are allowed to run would be any sort of defence.
The issue is that the worm is programmed to re-appear on 3 Feb-06. (NB: If a system's date is incorrect,...)
