Update 905915 breaks IE6 SP2 in a very bad way. After installing the patch via Windows Update and restarting: [...] Further restarts did not resolve the problems. After uninstalling update 905915, IE has returned to normal.
I have exactly the same problem, and a quick look through some popular internet forums shows, that there are several people experienceing this issue.
My PC is a P4 2.80 GHz HT, with 512Mb RAM and 115Gb free disk space. I am running Windows XP SP2, fully patched (except for 905915!), with up-to-date anti-virus and anti-spyware software.
I'm running XP x64. The problem only occurs in 32bit IE. .
