You might try using some of the tools mentioned, particularly a
combination of HijackThis, ProcessExplorer, and possibly Killbox.
Again, running Task Manager and doing a clean boot may help track down
the culprit.

Also, what printer do you have installed? Try disabling any printer
services that you see when you use msconfig (see clean boot
troubleshooting for details).

See if the issue occurs in Safe Mode. If not, you're a little closer to
tracking it down.
