After making the changes you suggested, and after rebooting, my system
runs quicky again--especially in accessing
web sites. It seems obvious to me (a networking novice) that MS
Firewall and Virus checker were working in opposition to
Symantec Internet Security 2005 activities. After this, I ran the
excellent ShieldsUp evaluation analysis scan and
it shows my ports were all stealth. Shieldsup gave my system an
excellent review. I'm very happy again. Thanks!
