We have windows 2003 domain.
I have a 3rd party software that creates serial keys for a software package.
It bases the key off of device id's, specifically the hard drive. When I
regester the product under one domain user, it creates a key that is
different than another domain user using the same machine.
The developer said "The Drive ID is based on drive 0, which is the primary
drive of the machine. Your situation sounds like drive 0 is being switched
when the user logs in. This is done at some companies for security reasons.
The hardware is the same, but the identity of drive 0 switches"
I know I did not implement this. Is it even possible?
