You've been lucky. You do not need a registry cleaner; if you do end up with
shards of old software in the registry, no big deal to leave them there. You
can do far more harm than good with one of these things. If you want to
clean out your registry, do it manually if you know *exactly* what you're
doing - and if it's really necessary, and only after making a full backup.
You are running the risk of turning your PC into a boat anchor otherwise.
