It can and will. However the CD doesn't matter. You can have 1 CD and 10000
keys and use the same CD over and over again if you wanted. The key is for
the software not for the actual media that it's installed for. In fact I
lose CDs all the time but manage to keep track of keys fairly well. I'm
afraid I do it all the time actually.
