Hi,

This was also discussed in the thread "Security Bulletins Released Today".

It's unfortunate that no one from Microsoft posted an alert either to
this newsgroup, the TechNet website, or to the security subscriber email
list about their decision to take down the patch. I had to phone Shavlik
to find out what was happening. I phoned Microsoft after I'd phoned
Shavlik and they didn't know anything about the patch being pulled and
assumed it was a "URL error".

Microsoft have now updated the bulletin with this explanation:

Why did Microsoft update this security bulletin on August 10, 2005?

We have updated this bulletin to advise customers that the security
updates related to this security bulletin have been re-published to the
Microsoft Download Center. When initially published to the Microsoft
Download Center, the security updates were corrupted as part of the
publishing process. Security updates downloaded from Automatic Update,
Windows Update, Microsoft Update and Windows Server Update Services
(WSUS), were not affected by this issue. We have investigated and
corrected this publishing issue. We have also confirmed that the newly
published security updates do not contain this issue. This publishing
issue could cause some Systems Management Server (SMS) and Internet
Explorer installation failures. If you had previously downloaded these
security updates from the Microsoft Download Center, we encourage users
to re-download and then use the newly published versions of the security
updates.
