Use add and remove programs - Windows components and make sure Email
services is unchecked and then go to application server - IIS and uncheck
SMTP service and apply the changes. You could also open services.msc and
look to see if SMTP and POP are listed and assuming such set them both to
disabled. If those ports are really in use on the computer then the command
netstat -an should show such and a tool like SysInternals TCPView and
Process Explorer could also help you track down what is going on. TCPView
shows port to process/application mapping and Process Explorer goes into
great detail on running processes including what services and ports are
being used by each instance of svchost. --- Steve
