In addition to the good advice provided by Malke and Crouchie, ask yourself
a couple of common sense questions:
Why would a large corporation such as Microsoft be trying to attack their
(potential) customers?
If they did, do you really think they'd put their own return address in
it???
Obviously the real culprit had attempted to cover his tracks with this ploy,
and that's why MS Customer Support has no idea what you're asking about.
If you can provide details of the attempted attack, post them to your
anti-virus software tech support. They will know what you're talking about.
