losing share connection

I have a 2003 domain controller with about 20 shares. When I'm at a remote
site connecting in using a nokia vpn I cannot map a drive or use the
\\machine\share to connect to a share. I can connect to any other server in
this domain that has shares though. When I try to connect to the domain
controller I get the message "the local device nane is already in use". It
always worked before, but it stopped working a week ago. If I reboot the
server, people can connect to it for a day but the next day it stops
working. Also, if I create a new share on that server during the time people
can't connect, you can connect to the new share, but not the others. A reboot
will fix the problem for a day or two but then it's right back to the same
problem.

Does anyone have any idea of what could have changed ? local security?
