Do you have a reference link?
I know they must be within a certain period of the same time (5 minutes,
I believe), and the default behavior is to sync with a DC, but I was not
aware that it could *only* be with the PDC emulator (I mean, think of a domain
like microsoft's - many, many thousands of hosts, globably distributed, requiring
connections to only one box?) I also thought you could override the default.
As well, since the problam began with the installation of a service pack,
which AFAIK does not change the time-synching behavior on the client, I would
be tempted to also check something like the fact that Windows Firewall is
probably now active (and the non-domain machines aren't using RPC).
I could be wrong, and if that's the case, I'd like to read up more on the
limitations you describe.
Thanks.
