General Newsgroup Question

This is a security question related to Microsoft's NG's in general. Please
excuse me if there exsists a better forum for such a post.

Before ever reading or posting to a Microsoft NG, I read over Community
Privacy Policy aswell the Rules of Conduct. But nowhere do I remember
seeing that these posts would be archived in html based forums throughout
the web. If you do not know what I am talking about, and are a regular
poster to Microsoft's NG's, go to Google.com and search for either your
handle (From) or your email address. Your posts are archived at various
online websites in forum form. Examples include:

www.devnewsgroups.net, www.codecomments.com, www.webservertalk.com

Can someone knowledgable on this topic tell me why this is done? I
understand a "public" newsgroup but assumed that the posts would be kept
under Microsofts control.

I used an active (although not main) email address so I could track replies
to my posts. I know that email addresses are pulled from Microsofts
newsgroups for spamming purposes, but republishing posts to multiple
websites only adds to the problem.

What am I missing?

And anyway to remove these posts on the external websites?

Thanks!
