Single .EXE file, no any preinstalled packet capture drivers required:
Just imagine that you're going to use someone else's PC, e.g. you need to
audit some network from several workstations and have no ability to connect
to it with your own hardware (and you don't want to reboot these PCs, btw).
1Gbit network support:
Certainly, you may need something like NetOptics wiretap to direct whole
1Gbit traffic to your PC with tcpdump for Windows launched, but it can
capture it totally. The worst packet loss value we had in our experiments on
1Gbit networks was approximately 3000000/200 "captured and saved to
file"/"lost" ratio.
