I assume you are talking about XP Pro which does have more secure ntfs
permissions than Windows 2000 by default. If you have a need to give the power
users group write permissions you can certainly add them, though it would make
sense to create a subfolder and give them permissions to the subfolder or give
power users the ability to create folders only in the root folder and not files.
The power users group does have write permissions to the program folders
