What PROBABLY needs to happen is that you need to partition the hard drive
to the drive's full capacity. This is done with the FDISK command using your
normal startup disk. If this is NOT the problem then you should probably
look at the Maxtor site for their set of tools to diagnose your harddrive
though it's probably the issue that you're having. Just make sure to select
that you want to use 100% of the drive's full capacity when you're making
your partition.
