The behavior for anti-malware detection such as the MS Antispyware tool is
different from typical virus detection (although they are merging).
The Antispyware tool looks for spyware type behavior as well as looking for
know file signatures.
This technique is known as heuristics and it may result in the installation
being blocked by a toast from the Antispyware app.
This is fine as long as you check the details in the toast and are sure you
trust the application you are installing, you can then allow the change by
clicking Ok.
This type of approach is preferable to disabling the protection, especially
if the computer remains online!
I am sure some of these "must turn off" statements are more to do with the
fact that the application developers don't test the installation with these
AV apps so they don't know if they will work or not!
