MS Anti-Spware is not a bad program, but it needs work. For instance, I've
discovered that it does not find and destroy everything. Before running it on
an infected pc (I work in IT for a local govt. and lots of people go to
places like moneytree, Gator, Pogo, etc.) I go to webroot.com and run the
free scanner to see what is there.
After I do that, I install and run MS anti-spy which invariably finds tons
of crap on the user's pc, and I remove every last bit of it. Then I reboot,
and go bakc to webroot and run the free scan again and ivnariably find many
items that MS Anti-Spy missed.
I then install a demo copy of of Spysweeper and run that. Then reboot and
rescan to discover that the drive is now clean of all spyware. After that is
done, I reboot again and let MS-Anti Spyware run @ boot.
If MS Anti-Spyware could get everything on the first try, that would be
great. It would be a far better program than Spysweeper, and could save local
city govt's thousands in extra unneeded expendatures.(sp?)
