I have to second that wholeheartedly. I am glad MS is reducing the number
of internal patching technologies. However, MS has been putting erroneous
information on patch switches both in its articles and in the command line
documentation using the /HELP switch with the patch. I've never known
Microsoft to ever fix erroneous /HELP documentation in a patch, either.

This kind of error should only take a few minutes to discover, yet its been
happening for years, since at least 2001. MS needs to add more steps to
make sure whoever is reviewing its patches and documentation is checking a
box on a form that confirms both correctly document the switches.

Here's where I complained about the same issue in 4/2002, in a post I titled
"HEY MICROSOFT, YOU GUYS ASLEEP? [regarding patch MS02-008, MS02-015 and
others]

http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.win2000.windows_update/browse_thread/thread/3c308bd41fb2a013/ef1a2fc68be95094

And in 6/2002...

http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.security/browse_thread/thread/cd2428cf719aee73/22078fc467ea9568

And in 12/2002 [MS02-065]

http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.security/browse_thread/thread/ffbb975445a5b22f/9c500a11f83dc01a

And in 3/2003 [MS03-008]

http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs/browse_thread/thread/e8ca13f6026c4079/d0444ea0764f40bb

And I complained about the MS03-008 /HELP documentation seemingly STILL
being wrong a year later on 5/2004, not even a year ago:
