IE6 Automatic detect settings

After the installation of MS04-040 update patch, Automatic Detect Settings in
Internet Explorer 6 appears to have changed with the http://wpad/wpad.dat
being ignored? If you add this to the script, it works.

Has the function ality changed for Automatic Detect Settings and anyone know
how to resolve?
