don't know about the attachment difference. maybe there is an attachment
and oe is doing its 'blocking unsafe attachments' thing to you... but the
trend stuff should have picked up any nasties if there were any. the safe
thing to do is to throw away the mail message and go back to the site where
you have that account and manually do a renewal or phone them up with the
new credit card expiration date. its at least nice that they warned you
before the card expired rather than bouncing charges.
