Thank you, Jupiter Jones for your kind support and for the reference which I
have downloaded and read from top tobotom; fascinating. I am sure now that
the weak password link and maybe physical access is the key here. I am no
longer looking for reds under the bed. The lady concerned admits that it
was just hard work and knowing me well enough to guess the passwords and keep
trying for an hour or so then finding links once inside.
A lesson to me, certainly. And I have implemented most, if not all, of the
recommendations. I had a good firewall, completely uptodate virus software
(AVG and Norton Professional and have added anti-spyware and nightwatchman.
But like the link says, nothing protects you against weak passwords.
