dso exploit

I have a couple questions. I am new to this. first, is
hijack this as good and reputable as spybot and ad-
aware. Second, if so, and if I run it, per their
recommendation, where and who could I get to look at the
scan log before I delete anything and mess anything up.
Lastly, It was recommended that hijack this would notice
this problem, but it didn't--why does spybot find and
remove dso exploit, but it keeps coming back. what is
dso exploit. thanks
