FindFast should NOT get installed with MS Office 2000/XP/2003 when
installed on Windows 2000/XP; see
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=243016. That is because Windows
2000/XP already include its own file indexing NT service. I suspect you
were using Windows 9x/ME, had MS Office installed on that, and then did
an upgrade to Windows 2000/XP. That means you brought along all the
pollution from the Windows 9x/ME and applications installed under it
when you "upgraded" to Windows 2000/XP.
