    Hello,
I have recently converted from a FAT32 file system to a
NTFS file system.( using the convert command )

I have tried to change the permissions on several folders
to remove the 'READ' attribute , and although XP tells me
that its done it , next time I look the Read attribute is
    back.
    My question is
how can I return the file permissions to what they were
under FAT32 as all seemed well under FAT32.

    Cheers,
    Ian
