Hi
You will be able to get security updates for SP1 for a couple of years
to come I think (officially I think MS supports fully supports the
previous service pack for 1 year). But at one point in the future you
will not get any updates to SP1 anymore.
If you look at Windows 2000 (current SP level is 4), MS does not
release updates to SP1 anymore, and SP2 is about to come on the
no-update list as well (I think MS expanded the time limit for
Win2k SP2 because of customer demands).
