I really appreciate your advice (as it obviously took
awhile) and will definitely find it helpful in preventing
future problems like my current one. Unfortunately none
of the spyware/adware or online virus scans you suggested
have fixed the problem. All of the programs are
detecting they spyware as 'coolwebsearch' and describe it
as a change to a registry value and 2 registry keys. The
problem is that none of the programs are actually fixing
the problem. I click the button to 'Fix' or 'Delete' the
detections but when I run the scan again they're still
there. I've tried fixing the registry entries manually
and they just keep getting reset when I open IE again.
Thanks anyway though, I really appreciate your input.
