Didn't catch the start of this thread, but a friend used AVG and we got into
an arguement about why they didn't keep the reply to my original email (in
their response) - apparently AVG snipped it.

Like your friends calling in the middle of the night because McAfee just
updated itself and now the computer blue screens on boot or Norton's half
baked registration system leaves 25% of the user without a updated system
and on the phone to tech support. Antivirus and Backup software suck in
general and the biggest, most recognized companies tend to suck the worst.
