As Miha Pihler says, a router is not a firewall. A family member was ready
to pitch his SMC Barricade 7004BR into the trash because his Windows XP box
became infested with all manner of scumware. I had to remind him that the
router only blocked unsolicited packets; if he clicked a link to a web site,
he would get solicited packets in response, even malicious packets.
