Suspected corrupted account...?

I have a web application that uses Windows Authentication via Impersonated
Kerberos to authenticate users at the database. The authentication scheme is
working fine, you only need to be a member of one group to access the
resource required. We created a test account that is only a member of the
group checked for access, this works perfectly. The user in question is a
member of the same group but gets denied access for some reason which is
escaping me. We copied the users account in question to a new account which
still does not work. We created a new account added all of the group
membership as in the account in question, this account can access all of the
resources just fine. All of this implies that there is something wrong with
the account, right...? What could be wrong with the account....? and why...?

TIA
