Getting Kicked Offline

Whenever I try to go to any of my secure sites it kicks me
offline. Under the file menu the "work offline" keeps
getting checked even though I have clicked on it to
uncheck it. However, my online icon at the bottom right by
the time says I am still connected. And if I click on
disconnect it won't disconnect. The only thing I can do is
reboot. Any help would be appreciated.
