Firstly, please do not post in all capital letters. It is considered
"screaming" and is difficult to read.

Secondly, my condolences on "joining AOL"..

Lastly - at this point I have to agree with the software - I have no idea
what operating system you are running nor what version of the AOL software
you were trying to install. You could be running Windows 95, Windows 98,
Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows NT 3.51, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000
Professional, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Home,
Windows XP Tablet Edition, Windows XP Media Center, Windows XP 64bit trial
edition, Windows 2003 Server or you might not be running a version of
Windows at all (although that seems unlikely with you asking your question
here.)

You did not point out what version of the AOL software you were attempting
to install. Nor is there any clue as to your connection speed (broadband or
dial-up) or other software you have installed that could be affecting the
install. If you could give the exact error message instead of the
approximation, that would be useful as well.

The newest version of AOL (9.0 Optimized) requires Windows 98 and above,
Internet Explorer 6.0 and above and 420+MB of hard drive space (wow.)
Please help us help you...
