Yes, it is possible. I suspect that you probably shouldn't be playing with
MSN Messenger on the job. If it is a job requirement that you use it, your
employer's IT staff is the best source for fixing the problem. But if it is
not required, and it is blocked, you probably should treat it as one of
those things you don't do while you are on the clock.

It wouldn't hurt to ask them if it is okay. If they tell you it is not okay,
you know where you stand. If it is okay, they will be able to fix it. If you
have any doubts, and fear the consequences of just asking, then consider it
not okay.
