SPYWARE WARNING ON MY COMPUTER?

I have recently installed DSL It worked fine for a few
hrs. A couple days latter I went back it is now slow
like dial up.

I received a message it said from Internet Explorer I
think, that said spyware had been detected on my
computer? I dismissed it as a pop up trying to sell me
something but the problem continues. I have Norton Anti
Virus and Webroot Spy Sweeper. I have ran them multiple
times. Still slow. I am a novice with computers can you
help me please? The norton & spysweeper pick up nothing
I am confused.
