After you used EFS to encrypt the folder or files, did you then exported
the generated EFS security certificate to a floppy, CD-R, or other
removable media to provide for file recovery? When you exported the EFS
certificate, did you include both the private and public keys (which
then requires that you password-protect the exported .pks file and then
use that password when you import it)?
