I'm the original poster.
I just wanted to add since my last post: I was curious to
know why Ad-aware didn't notice the NewtonWorks spyware
which was found by Spybot as C:\WINNT\Temp\vupd so I went
to search for it (I have Windows 2K) and there it was
(vupd) so I right-clicked it to see Properties and it
shows as 0 bytes in Size, and 0 Files, 0 Folders.
Therefore, maybe Spybot recognized the "vupd" but in
actuality, there is nothing in there (maybe was taken care
of by Ad-aware months ago without me paying attention to
it).
Could this be the possible explanation and if so, can't I
just delete "vupd" from C:\WINNT\Temp and be done with
this?
Thanks for any replies on this subject.
